Receiving a return is supported by the receive option in the operations module. Typically, this action is executed by a warehouse operator.
Receiving is possible for returns with the following status:
Finding returns that can be received can happen in 3 ways:
Scan / enter the return number on the dashboard
When entering the number the details of the return appear.
Alerter widget on the dashboard
The alerter widget "Returns being shipped" shows all aging returns that are shipped to the designated destination.
The return overview with action filter "Receiving & Checkin" shows all returns that can be received.
In the return details, the "Receive" button is available. Clicking the button puts the return in receive mode. Receiving the return just requires the click of the "Receive" button in the "Receive this return" window.
After the receive step the status of the returns can reach the following status:
- From Logistics/Requested to Processing/Received: the return has been received and is ready for check-in.
- From Logistics/Submitted to Processing/Received: the return has been received and is ready for check-in.
If set up in the channel settings, the system will automatically send a Return Receive confirmation mail to the customer.
If set up in the integration settings, the system will automatically send a Return Alert to an external system.
