Authorizing a return

Based on the authorization status of all products in the return, the return can be authorized.

Authorizing the return is triggered by the Return Authorization Tactic as defined in Authorization Parameters. 

Following options exist:

  • By default

  • Manual by a support agent

  • Automatic by an automation rule

Automatic
The return will be authorized automatically if all products in the return have one of the following statuses:

  • Approved

  • Rejected

If at least one product in the return has the status "Requested", the return needs to be authorized manually by an agent.

Manual
No matter the status of the products in the return, the return needs to be authorized manually by an agent.
