The entire customer-facing part of Return Bird is supported in multiple languages.

Setting up a new language requires your attention for setting up all customer-facing variables of your returns process.

Activating a language

Activating a language happens at 2 levels in settings:

  • Account master data: here you activate the language for your account.

  • Channel master data: here you activate the language for a specific return portal.

Click a language to select or de-select it:

Translating all variables

Setting up a new language requires your attention for setting up all customer-facing variables of your returns process.

For any translation, you can click the American-English flag to select another language:

Account settings:

  • System attributes: you can specify the English version of the label, placeholder, and title of the system attributes. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

  • Custom attributes: you can create a custom attribute and specify the English version of the label, placeholder, and tooltip. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

Channel settings:

  • Content: you can activate a content item and specify the English version of the title, subtitle, and content. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages

  • Email templates: you can activate a content item and specify the English version of the email subject, body text elements, and custom HTML. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

  • Document templates: you can activate a content item and specify the English version of the document title and body text elements. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

Return Policy settings:

  • General: you can add the English version of the Return Type Name and Return Policy Description. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

  • Attribute settings: you can add the English version of the attribute value and label. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

Logistics settings:

  • Carrier instructions: you can add the English version of the label, description, and instruction. Once this version has been added you can add the other languages.

It is important to consequently add translations for all elements to guarantee the quality of the user experience. If a translation is missing, the system will always use English translation as a fall-back.

The language of a return

Based on the above settings each return will have its own language.
