Destinations are locations where returns are sent. You can set up destinations in the countries of a destination region.

Destinations are supported in 32 countries. These countries are grouped in the following destination regions:

  • European Union (27 countries)

  • United Kingdom

  • Switzerland

  • Norway

  • United States

  • Hong Kong

You can select the relevant destination regions in the master data at the account level. When your returns process includes cross-border shipments from countries outside a destination region, you need to set up a legal entity for the destination region.

Destinations exist in different types:

  • Own Destination: the location of your return center that does not use Return Dock.

  • Approved Location: the location of your return center that does use Return Dock and that has been connected to your Return Bird account.

  • Approved Location: the location of an external service partner that does use Return Dock and that has been connected to your Return Bird account.

Destinations have a Tier indicator:

  • Tier 1: the destination can be included in a route. Customers can ship a return to the destination. Destinations do have a Location Name and Address that appear on the shipping label.

  • Tier 2: the destination can be used by all Return Dock entities that have been linked to your Return Bird account. The Return Dock entities can ship manifests and containers to the Tier 2 destination.
